…in the sump of an air cooled engine, quite an achievement, can only conclude that this thing must have sat outside for a long time with water running down the dipstick hole.
Needless to say it ran a lot better after an oil change;
Apologies for the poor video…
Great to see that you’ve finally put that lump of iron I gave you, to use. Try an old mini mig cylinder as a tank bor’.
When I took mine apart it looked like this: http://pixelatedcrow.com/inside-a-suffolk-punch-engine-water-inside/
The oil came out like gone off milk.
planning to use a suitable high pressure vessel.
Oh thats easy, screw driver + vice + hammer. I would spend time getting the new thread right though.
Do you know were I could get a pulley for my suffolk punch? Looking to power a alternator. Spose I would need to work out the rpm’s etc
Yeh work out the rpm, what type of belt are you gonna use? Vee is easiest… And bearing station have always done well for me, you’ll need a pulley and a taper lock bush.
